Pro Pool Patent

On the program of the training: in-depth theoretical specialized knowledge concerning water safety. The necessary action skills will be taught using practical examples to ensure professional swimming supervision (supervised swimming/lifeguard).

Prérequis
  • be at least 18 years old;
  • have a Patent Plus Pool in "valid" status, as well as a BLS-AED-Complete in "valid" status.
Contenu
  • Potential risks of different customer groups
  • Improved swimming and snorkeling technique
  • Pool Rescue Techniques
  • Water outlet in case of suspicion of dorsal lesion
  • Emergency device
  • Knowledge of common diseases (e.g. diabetes, allergies, epilepsy, etc.)
  • Care of the victim.
Public Cible

Persons who carry out a professional activity as a supervisor or lifeguard.

Durée
12 hours over 6 weeks
Conditions d'Obtention
  • the participant has passed the entrance exam, all lessons/teaching units and the exam.

The following examination items must be passed:

  • 500m swim in less than 13 minutes;
  • Pro Pool rescue course: Ask for help, start dive, swim 45 m in the ventral position, approach the figure underwater 5 m, recovery at the surface by the armpit grip (min 1.8 m deep), towing over 25 m using a rescue grip (neck or neck-front). All in workwear, at least shorts and T-shirt). Time limit: 2 minutes.
  • recovery at the surface of a figure from a depth between 2.50 and 6 m (deeper point of the basin), exit ofwater, checking the patient's condition, CPR for 2 minutes (on a resuscitation dummy);
  • recovery of objects: 5 rings at a depth of 2 m (surface: 5 × 5 m; 4 rings in the corners, the fifth in the center of the square);
  • swimming under water 20 m (starting in the water);
  • theoretical examination.
